Andeisha Farid is the Founder and Chairperson of AFCECO. Andeisha Farid spent her childhood living in refugee camps outside of Afghanistan. In 2007, at the age of 24, she returned to Kabul and founded the Afghan Child Education and Care Organization. Her mission was to provide a portion of the country's estimated 1.6 million orphans with an opportunity to receive quality schooling and a safe place to live. Andeisha Farid delegated her then role of Executive Director to a team of AFCECO graduates in 2014 and she remained as Chairperson of AFCECO.

Pashtana Rasoul is the Executive Director of AFCECO as of July 2016. Pashtana came to AFCECO at 8 years of age in 2003. Prior to arriving at AFCECO, Pashtana and her younger siblings roamed the dusty streets and grimy alleyways of Peshawar city every day selling water in order to earn desperately needed money for their family based at a refugee camp in the outskirts of Peshawar city.

Manizha Rahimi served as the Executive Director of AFCECO from 2014 till 2016 before being replaced by Pashtana Rasoul. She is now the Operations Manager of AFCECO handling daily operations and events. Manizha spent 6 years in Mehan Orphanage and finished her bachelor degree in Law in 2015.

Mahboob Sirja is the Donor Relations Manager of AFCECO communicating with sponsors and donors. She is one of the very first children joined AFCECO orphanage in 2004 and spent her whole life in orphanage. Mahbooba graduated from American University of Afghanistan in 2016 and is active member of AFECO Executive Team.
